September 7, 2023

BTNM LAWSUIT INFORMATION: Carter Harrison filed a writ petition with the NMSC on August 21, 2023 on the election laws only. We needed 25 petitioners - we produced 42!  The NM Supreme Court has given the NM Secretary of State until October 10th to reply.

SIGNATURE ACQUISITION INFORMATION

  • Those with more than the required 10% are Chaves, Eddy, Harding, Lincoln, and Roosevelt counties.
  • These counties have the 10% they need: Colfax, Curry, De Baca, and Quay.
  • In San Juan and Valencia counties, we are very close to the 10%.
  • The next phase is to concentrate on smaller population counties that haven’t closed in on the 10% required. These include: Catron, Cibola, Grant, Guadalupe, Hidalgo, Lea, Los Alamos, Luna, Mora, Otero, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Sierra, Socorro, Torrance, and Union.
  • Many of these counties have a good start but need additional help. If you know someone living in any of these places, please share the Not My Kid information and encourage them to sign up.
  • We have had great help with the project from some of the county GOP parties. We owe them great thanks for allowing us to use booth space at fairs to get signatures and educate.
  • We have had resolutions passed in Valencia, Chaves, Eddy, and Cibola counties in support of the Referendum Project.
  • Resolutions have been presented in Bernalillo and Sandoval Counties with plans to present resolutions in San Juan, Dona Ana, Gallup, and Lea counties.
  • If anyone would like to present a resolution to their County Commissioner, please let us know and we will provide you with the template.
